Collection: Blazar x HGJ Collaborations

This is a special collection where Puma and I both use our creative forces to create truly one of a kind pieces. The first step involves Puma creating a wax carving to sand cast, he focuses on the texture, size and overall structure of the ring. Then after cleanup and removing any extra unwanted metal he is left with a blank canvas that he then passes over to me. At this point I decide on stones and hand engraved details. Floral and Filigree are two of my favorite patterns to engrave into the rings. I use a peddle operated pneumatic device to control my super sharp carbide graver in the silver or gold. It is a tedious process but I absolutely love it!! It takes me into a different pace of making versus my other jewelry where I focus on the stones and the overall fabrication of each piece. Fun fact - this is one of my favorite times to listen to music as it helps me flow with whatever I am engraving.
