Aquamarine & Variscite Ring

These extra special stones have a beautiful rectangular cut to them and complement each other-  one is an aquamarine high dome cabochon and the other is a beautiful speckled Poseidon Variscite stone. This ring features a hand engraved scroll style pattern band and is a size 8. 

This particular ring is an open shank style ring. There is a space in between the two stones on the front of the ring. The style ring is great for anyone who has swollen joints or their fingers may fluctuate. These rings are not meant to be bent back-and-forth on a daily basis, they are meant to find your size for your finger and then slightly adjust them throughout the year as your fingers may swell in different seasons. Each of the adjustable rings are slightly adjustable up and down about a half size so if the ring is listed as a size 8, it can be adjusted down to about a  7 1/2 or up to about an 8 1/2. 

I begin my ring making process by hand selecting each stone at one of our annual gem shows in Tucson Arizona. Here I am able to shop from vendors from all over the world. My stones, gems, fossils and everything I set is what drives my initial inspiration. I take so much pride in picking out a variety of gems for all of my projects and I hope you love them as much as I do! After deciding which stones to use the metal smithing process begins. Using traditional techniques I saw, shape, sand, file, set and polish each ring with my own two hands. It’s a labor of love I sharing with my community. All my metal is sterling silver .925 and fine silver .999 for the bezel unless it is a part of the mixed metal collections which in addition to the silver feature solid 14k yellow gold.
